The annual festival organized by Indian expatriates from Cherucode and Porur villages in Kerala impressively attracted a large number of community leaders belonging to different organizations.
Mohamed Imran, overseas coordinator of Al-Abeer Medical Group, launched the event and emphasized the importance of providing assistance to the poor and needy in society. He also spoke about his group’s INR 8 billion educity project in Malappuram.
Ameer Cherucode, who presided over the function, urged participants to support the organization generously in order to carry out its humanitarian mission effectively. “We have collected Rs 100,000. A portion of this amount will be used for the treatment of one cancer patient and two kidney patients,” he added.
The festival began with a kids session, which was followed by a cultural session where Masood Thangal, a well-known singer, and his team presented a song written by Othman Pandikkad, highlighting the need for united and sincere efforts for the welfare of the community.
Professor Raynolds of King Abdulaziz University spoke on the importance of parents keeping a close watch on children when using modern communication facilities.
Fouzi Salim Bamatraf, a Saudi businessman, Kunhali Haji, managing director of Hiba Polyclinic, Mustafa Tholoor and Fahd of Hiba Asia Polyclinic, Shabeer of Al-Noor Polyclinic, Sadik Pandikkad, KTA Muneer, Professor Rasheed of PSMO College Thirurangadi and P. Ayyub delivered speeches praising the organization’s community welfare programs.
Children entertained the audience with a variety of cultural programs including oppana, songs, dances, fusion dances and a kitchen orchestra presented by Nafi Amir and his team. Farsana Ashraf, Nasrin Majid, Sharief Mangalapuram, Nissar AP and Rajula Shanawas were the main singers. Najmul Babu, Hisana Aziz and Riham Razak were anchors.
