Key speakers to attend religious dialogue program

The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Contemporary Islamic Studies and Dialogue of Civilizations at Imam Muhammed bin Saud Islamic University and the Institute of Dialogue at Temple University in the US state of Pennsylvania will jointly organize an international program for dialogue between religions on July 7-9.
The program will bring together specialist speakers from Saudi and American universities alongside experts from different parts of the world and selected members of religious institutions, the center’s director Dr. Abdulmuhsin Al-Simaih said.
He said the Imam center will highlight the reality of Islam based on the Holy Qur’an and Prophet’s (peace be upon him) teachings and the role and approach of the Kingdom derived from Islamic Shariah law.
Prominent academics and scholars have been selected to participate in the program including advisor to Imam University and professor at the university’s Higher Judicial Institute Dr. Bandar Al-Suwailim, associate professor at the Higher Judicial Institute Dr. Hisham bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh, associate professor at the College of Social Sciences Dr. Ahmed Al-Jihaimi, assistant professor at the College of Translation and Languages Dr. Ibrahim Al-Miman, and assistant professors at the College of Economics and Administrative Sciences Dr. Khalid Al-Jiraid and Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Said.
The Imam center implements and promotes the culture of dialogue, demonstrate Islam’s way in dealing with new issues, identify Islamic systems and their characteristics, deal and emphasize women’s issues and their rights in Islam, and clarify the Kingdom’s position toward global issues.
