This is with reference to the report “Global refugee numbers reach ‘alarming levels’” (June 19). We create problems ourselves and start complaining about them. I don’t think that any alien or extra-terrestrial being engineers wars in our world. The refugee problem is manmade. Powerful countries only act in their self-interest and they don’t even bother about the consequences of their actions. The United States did not think twice before invading Iraq and Afghanistan. The major global players only display their power and arrogance by taking such measures. In this world, I can only see one rule that has become a universal reality. That rule is: Might is right.
