This is with reference to the report “Islamabad rebuffs Afghan claim on Parliament attack” (June 27). Kabul has once again started hurling baseless and bitter accusations at Pakistan. The administration in Kabul has been unable to increase its influence beyond the capital city and blames Pakistan for its internal problems. Such claims are nothing but crude jokes. Afghanistan is infested with warlords who just work for money. When the Afghans are not patriotic toward their country, they don’t have the right to point fingers at others.
I believe Pakistan made a grave mistake by offering shelter to Afghan refugees at the time of Soviet invasion. They should have sought refuge in India. These refugees badly damaged our social fabric. Pakistan should take immediate measures to expel all these refugees and people of Afghan origin from the country. The war is over and a “government” is working in Kabul. It should now take the responsibility of its own people. Pakistan has had enough of these Afghans, who introduced the culture of drugs and weapons in Pakistan.
