I read with interest the report “Saudi Twitterati declare war on terror with anti-Daesh campaign” (July 6). I appreciate this initiative and extend my all-out support to this noble effort. People using the social media should not rely on condemning Daesh and its likes but they should try to form groups to clarify misconceptions about Islam. It is our religious duty to counter the false ideology these terror outfits are spreading in the name of Islam. Comments or posts condemning the actions of the terrorists is not a big deal, we should prove their actions un-Islamic by using Qur’anic texts and Hadiths. We should try to explain to our youth various Qur’anic verses and Hadiths in their proper contexts. —Lala, Jeddah
