I agree that the men harassing the girls on the Corniche should be jailed and lashed. However, another link has been uploaded recently in which it shows the girls were riding a four-wheeler, roaming around the guys, playing fun and provoking the boys to chase them.
This is what’s happening in many parts of the world that the girls play pranks with boys and when the situation gets nasty they approach the authorities complaining against the incident and the champions of women’s rights make it a case of sexual harassment. The scantly dressed women in the West too are responsible for inviting trouble.
In the case of Jeddah Corniche, the girls should be taken to task first and investigated why they were riding the four-wheeler around men, how they could get the bike, and who’s the man who rented the bike to the girls.
It does not mean that the men in question should be exonerated. They are all culprits, they all should be punished.
