India unfortunately hanged Yakub Memon for his alleged role in the country’s Mumbai bomb attacks.

It’s quite strange how it all happened all of a sudden as he was woken up by the police before even the verdict of his plea for mercy was given. A section of Indian media has it all in detail.

However this judgment shows that judiciary is no more independent in India. It can be manipulated by people in power. See how the mass killers of Muslims, convicted by various courts like Babu Bajrangi, Maya Kodnani, Col. Purohit and Swami Aseemanand are roaming free only because their radical anti-Muslim political party is in power
