Housing Minister Shuwaish Al-Dowaihi has said his ministry is currently working on the implementation of several housing projects in many cities and provinces to reach the goal of the ministry set under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Following the budget announcement on Saturday, Al-Dowaihi declared that, in light of the generous support from the leadership, the housing sector is witnessing a boom. In cooperation with the private sector, the industry will soon achieve its national development goals.
“We see in this year’s budget great promises for all sectors that will promote the urban and organizational renaissance of the Kingdom. Saudis, through awareness and interaction, will be motivated to lift the Kingdom to its highest level of human development,” Al-Dowaihi said.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia had the highest budget surplus in its history, adding that the expenses aimed at building human potential and industrial capacity as well as strengthening the infrastructure of our country. The budget includes money for roads, transportation, health, education, social issues, and housing. In addition to that, greater spending will create more job opportunities for Saudis, the minster said.
Al-Dowaihi congratulated King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and the Saudi people on the announcement of the state budget, which he described as a budget of ambition and achievement.

He appreciated the fact that all sectors and institutions had received generous support and ongoing follow-up toward the improvement of all regions in the Kingdom.

Al-Dowaihi rejoiced in the budget of this year, a historic budget that is an extension of sequential historical budgets, saying it reflects the size of progress made in the Kingdom in terms of development and economy.
