The Hail Summer Festival will open on Friday to continue for a month. Hail Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen will sponsor the festival, announced the organizing committee yesterday.
It said all arrangements and preparations were completed for the annual event under the title “Our summer will be sweet by your presence.”
The festival will be held in Al-Maghqah amusement park under the supervision of the governorate and the municipality.
Director of the festival Abdul Mohsen Al-Mitair, asked all the concerned parties to join efforts for the success of the event under the continued support of the governor and his deputy Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud.
He said the activities would also cover three other public parks which were Al-Salam, Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen and Al-Ruwwad.
Al-Mitair said the municipality formed a number of sub-committees to look after electricity, cleanliness, lighting, maintenance, environmental health and other aspects. “All these committees are working day and night to make the festival a success,” he added.
Chairman of the organizing committee Adel Musa Al-Hamzani said the activities would cater to the various needs of all visitors and would suit their tastes. “There will be entertainment, cultural, social, sport and shopping activities,” said. He added that there would be draws for ten cars during the festival.
Al-Hamzani said there would be special programs for children, a popular market and poetic nights which were expected to attract a number of poets.
He said Hail tourist summer would be distinctive and successful in the light of the summer competitions among many Saudi cities and towns.
