NAJRAN: The Najran Horticulture Research and Development Center is organizing a workshop on citric plants in Al-Horaiq governorate with the collaboration of the Agricultural Directorate of Al-Kharj today.
Director General of the center Ali Al-Jaleel said the topics being discussed in the workshop include the categories of citric plants that thrive in desert and semi desert environments, the citric plant varieties that are commonly found in the Kingdom and the fertilizing, methods of irrigation and use of pesticides to ensure maximum yield with the highest quality, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday. The workshop will also discuss the issues related with harvesting, grading, packing, and modern techniques of marketing, he said.
