Luxury jewelry and timepiece company, Mouawad, recently displayed a one-of-a-kind ‘Mouawad Snow White Princess Diamond Watch’ that costs $ 6.8 million, making it perhaps the most expensive watch in the world. Mouawad broke the Guinness World Record with the most expensive diamond recently.
The diamond timepiece is part of the new Mouawad Genève Watch Line, the first line of luxury watches to carry the Mouawad signature. The watch was entirely designed and realized in Mouawad Swiss. It is a tailored, diamond-studded masterpiece featuring 233 clear diamonds weighing a total of 106.93 carats.
The ‘Mouawad Snow White Princess Diamond Watch’ made its global debut at the Doha Jewelry and Watch Exhibition (DJWE) last year and is on display for the first time after that in Saudi Arabia.
“The event is open to the public for everyone to see how captivating and charming the watches are. After Jeddah, the tour will proceed to Riyadh on March 19 and Alkhobar on April 1. The tour will then proceed to Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and Lebanon,” said Ahmed Al-Hebshi, GIA accredited jewelry professional and corporate general manager at Mouawad.
“The ‘Mouawad Snow White Princess Diamond Watch’ is definitely not a first for Mouawad in hitting world records. In 2010, the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse entered the world records by retailing at $ 3.8 million, as the most valuable handbag. Lastly, Mouawad owns the Splendor diamond, which is ranked by Guinness as the most expensive single pear shaped diamond, costing a whopping $ 12,760,000,” he added.
On this occasion, Mouawad has officially launched its first luxury watch collection under the distinctive Mouawad signature. This Swiss watch line is made up of unique chronographs for men, Grand Ellipse, and ladies quartz watches, La Griffe, that includes 12 sophisticated models that ranges from formal diamond studded, plain rose gold royal to bi-color rose gold and stainless steel sport villes and the bi–color rose gold and titanium sport models. The collection is now on sale in their Jeddah boutique with prices that range from $ 8,900 to $ 49,000.
