ALJ Central Purchasing of Noel Sun defeated AVK Wild Boys 81-57 to play championship series with Saudia Aviation for Group B division in the JBL tournament at Bin Mafouz basketball court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here.
ALJ Central Purchasing’s running game and man-to-man defense proved unbreakable as AVK Wild Boys collapsed offensively.
Kalvin Llamado top-scored with 28 points for Central Purchasing and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Boyce had 18 points for AVK Wild Boys.

El Khereiji of Allan Macalinao beat Toyota Sequoia 73-71 to qualify No. 2 for the Group C semifinal at the end of elimination round.
El Khereiji pressured Toyota Sequoia’s ball handlers in the whole game. Amado Magdadaro scored 15 points for El Khereji and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Fadi Tawil led Toyota Sequoia with 26 big points.
But the Toyota Sequoia of Jimmy Abdullah Beltran, stung by the Thursday night squeaker, gave it back to El Kheiji winning by a proverbial mile 80-62 in their semifinal match Friday.
With the win Sequoia moves to the Group C championship series against Awdah, which clinched the first final spot by trouncing Al Muhaidib 84-58 in the semis.
Sequoia coaching staff solved the Khereiji pressure defense and applied the look and pass the ball to the open man offense. Basilio had 14 points for Sequoia and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Zambale scored 19 points for El Khereiji.
Friday, Taqwa Brothers Green of Abdulaziz Yu defeated Salam Brothers White 65-54 for the second seat of the Jeddah Dawah Center Inter-color Division. Taqwa managed to contain the fourth quarter attack by Salam brothers with its tight defense.
Loy had 28 points for Taqwa Brothers Green and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs best player of the game while Marwan and Abu Musab top-scored with 13 points apiece for Salam White.
Awdah caught Muhaidib in its off night. With a steady offense Awdah was unstoppable in the final quarter. Muhaidib missed the services of their top gunner Pablo Viscayno who is currently in the Philippines for his annual vacation. Elmer Sanchez scored 24 points for Awdah and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Dexter Flora top-scored with 17 points for Muhaidib.
