In coordination with the Council of Scholarship in Sokoto, Nigeria, and in cooperation with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), NEXUS Flight Operations Services, headquartered in Jeddah, qualified a group of trainees as flight dispatchers.
GACA supported the training course and helped obtain the required visas for the students.
NEXUS training center celebrated the graduation of the first batch of students from Nigeria, in the presence of Nigerian Consul General Ahmed Omer.
This is the first outcome of opening training opportunities for young people from the Kingdom and other countries, and for those who desire to join flight operations sector.
NEXUS is thus laying the foundation for the private sector role in developing this industry by providing opportunities for training and qualification of technical staff in the Kingdom and other countries in the region. GACA, through its support, has played a key role in the success of this program, which is viewed as a start for qualifying young people in flight operations sector.
Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, NEXUS CEO, said the company is in the midst of expanding and developing its training center, and is seeking to benefit from global experts through mutual cooperation agreements and exchange of knowledge with leading companies such as Flightsafety International, ARGUS and Service Elements.
“NEXUS training center is preparing to welcome a new batch of students from other countries in the second training course before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan,” Al-Sayed added.
