Gigaset introduces ‘touch and keypad’ cordless phone

Gigaset is presenting the S820A, the first cordless telephone to combine a full-touch display and a classical keypad in a single device.
The phone, launched in Saudi Arabia with local distributor Ahmed Abdul Wahed Trading Co., sets new standards in the world of cordless telephony, with its customizability and call-management features.
The durable 2.4” full-touch display enables the users of the Gigaset S820A to directly access the phone’s most important functions, e.g. call lists or address book.
The touch function makes navigation through the telephone’s menu much easier and users can also customize the phone for their personal needs and preferences.
The S820A also has a hard keypad to dial numbers quickly or for tone dialing.
The Gigaset S820A also offers a new Call Management feature that lets users modify their reachability by phone during specific timeframes and for selected contacts in the address book.
This function prevents anonymous or undesired calls at user-defined times of the day or night.
“The new call management function offers consumers an innovative and flexible way to be reachable at home. The S820A demonstrates Gigaset’s innovative power and offers our customer’s noticeable added value through greater convenience and customizability,” says Shahzad Ahmed, CEO of Gigaset Communications for (MEA, SEA, ANZ and India) region.
Ahmed said: “Gigaset is the clear market with 45 percent market share in Saudi Arabia. “
Ameen Mubarak, division head (Telecom) of Ahmed Abdul Wahed Co., the distributor for Gigaset in Saudi Arabia, said: “Gigaset home phones have always been well-received by the market here.”
The S820A is available in all Ahmed Abdul Wahed Co. showrooms and leading retail outlets.
