Butt Sports eased past youthful Saliheen by 72 runs in the final to lift the Jotun Paints Cup cricket tournament organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association, recently.
Al Khulais-XI finished third when they beat IBS by 42 runs.
Butt Sports amassed 222 for 9 in the allotted overs after they won the toss and made first use of the track.
Openers Tariq (56) and Zia (16) put on 40 in the first 4 overs. Later Javed (27), Abdul Rehman (48), Waqas (35) propped up the innings.
Farhad impressed with the ball as he took 4 for 28. He was supported by Faisal, claimed 3 for 29 while Tabassum took 2 for 56.
Saliheen failed to make a fight of it and were all out for 150. Openers Faisal Khan and Hameed Gul were out for 14 and 7 respectively Sabir Ali was run out for 15. Umar (22) and Tabassum (33) were the only batsmen who put up a fight. 1. Abdul Rahman 3 for 25 and Javed 2 for 13 were the main wicket takers.
Umar, Waqas and Zeeshan had one wicket each for 24, 18 and 13 runs respectively. Earlier in a battle for the third place, Khulais batted first and totaled 194. Irshad (68), Javed (19), Adnan (20) Shahid (27not out) were the main contributors. Nusruth and Mohsin claimed 2 wickets each frorn 25 and 51 runs respectively for the bowling side. IBS could manage only 152. Shoaib staged a lone battle and scored 56 runs. Shahid claimed 4 for 31. Chief guest Faisal Karim assured JCA of their (Jotun Paints) commitment for future events.
