A short story collection has been published through collaboration between a short story writer and an elementary school for girls in the Al-Thoqbah district in the Eastern Province.
The literary work consists of eight short stories that have been written by female students from the Al-Sadsah Elementary School for Girls in Al-Thoqbah district.
The stories were presented at a form entitled "Stories Space,” which was hosted at the school on Tuesday in conjunction with the celebrations of World Book and Copyright Day, which is an annually event marked on April 23 organized by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) to promote reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property through copyright.
The school headmistress, Hind Al-Dosari, said the talented students used their imagination to write short stories in cooperation with the writer Turkayah Al-Omari, who has been advising the young writers over the last two months.
Al-Dosari pointed out that the students were honored during the forum.
Through hosting the forum, she said that the school has sought to discover talented students and promote their skills in reading, literary writing, drawing and literary translation, besides developing their communication and creative thinking skills.
