JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA, Spain: Spanish rider Esteve Rabat won his first Grand Prix in 113 attempts on Sunday at Jerez when he captured the Spanish Moto2 race.
The 23-year-old led home a Kalex 1-2-3 finishing ahead of Britain’s Scott Redding and another Spaniard Pol Espargaro.
With the win, Rabat, who had also recorded his first pole position of his career, took the overall lead in the world title race.
