Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), an initiative launched by Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI), has started the Makkah hotels program in line with the efforts of the Ministry of Labor’s Human Resources Development Program, said Abdul Rahman Al-Fihaid, executive director of BRJ Saudi Arabia.
Al-Fihaid said that the program will train young men and women, and will develop skills needed by the labor market. The training programs include food preparation, confectionery preparation, hosting skills, front office and booking and guest service program. After the completion of the training, job opportunities will be provided in private hotels in Makkah.
He said that the program supports companies looking for qualified staff through contracting with BRJ. The program provides opportunities for companies to select suitable Saudi candidates to work for them during the contract period. BRJ will be responsible for selecting and preparing candidates for the job required by the companies, conducting interviews for candidates, and finally, contracting with them.
