Almarai keglers, Torres clinch honors

Almarai Co. mentored by Emerson Mitra burned the lanes to bag the Best Team of the Week award while Koko Torres of Sebo Boys romped off with the Best Bowler of the Week accolade on the 27th week of the FBGR–Almarai Saturday Bowling League at Universal Bowling Center (UBC).

Joel Batolina posted an impressive four game series of 907 points and drew splendid support from Doy Del Moral 891, Alex Armada 815, Fhel Ramos 798 and Jun Daniel 794 as Almarai crushed Sebo Boys 23-12.

Despite the defeat Sebo Boys gained some consolation after team captain Torres captured the individual award by shooting the night’s high series of 925 points on games of 175, 236, 200, 194. Dawood Sereno added 866, Glenn Dela Cruz 782, Angel Caasi 781 and Sam Alinsod 629 for Sebo.

The Carry Over of Lulu Quejada recorded a 20-11 victory against the SABB Tenpin Wizards. Leading Carry Over was bankable Dennis Gabriel 851 points followed by Abdullah Amoudi 837, Celis Viloria 831, Bembol Velasco 827 and Nap Torres 748, while in the losing side the top scorer was Resty De Jesus 886 with Ruben Tan on 836, Arnold Jesena 818, Ric Singson 740 and Marvin Arocena 724 points.

Alinma Bank, captained by Abdulrahman Ahmed, walloped the blind team Kapit-Bisig of Clem Ojeda 21-2. Hard hitting Jess Ambon led Alinma Bank with 872 points. Supporting Ambon were Angelo Train 836, Jojo De Silva 813, Fareed Aquino 788 and Leo Mabunga 734 points. The top scorer at Kapit-Bisig was Omar Valdez 773. Clem Ojeda 753, Jojie Manalansan 747 and Billy Baladiong 547 rounded out the Kapit-Bisig scoring.

In other matches, Nadec Strokers of Ka Lope Ramirez defeated Ric Urrutia Jr.’s Proshop Strikers 18-11, defending champion Eraserheads crushed Expendibles of Hani Nasleh 18-8, RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohamed blanked blind team Benny Mondoy’s Exodus 16-0, while Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad won by default over Alfanar Precast 14-0.
