The new managing committee of the International Indian School-Jubail is assuming office at a critical time. The issues of job security of the school staff in the wake of the Nitaqat program and the space constraints to accommodate the growing number of students will be among the challenging tasks waiting to be resolved by the new committee.
The parents of the students hope that these issues will be tackled promptly with the experience the members are bringing to the committee. Most of them are familiar faces in social welfare activities among the Indian community.
People like Nishad P.A., an active member of “Sahayee,” a voluntary group working in the field of charity, education and other social domains, can make a difference and deliver the services needed to meet the expectations of the community. I wish them all the best. — Abbas Ernakulam, Jubail
