Labor Minister Adel Fakeih will launch the “Taqat: Alumni Online Recruitment” website on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony of the sixth graduating class of Saudi students in the United States of America.
The ceremony for graduates studying abroad under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Foreign Scholarships will be held today in Washington.
The free online service portal for the employment of foreign scholarship graduates avails search engines that facilitate job compatibility by enhancing lines of communication between employers and job seekers. In addition, the Taqat system provides tools to enhance career development and encloses data and statistics related to recent labor market developments and demand.
The director general of the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), Ibrahim Al-Moiqel, said that Taqat is an advanced online hiring portal aiming to provide employment opportunities and support Saudi fresh graduates through offering a direct mode of contact to employers and companies.
He pointed out the website will provide employment support in its first pilot-phase to Saudi scholarships graduates outside the Kingdom and will be expanded in its second operational phase by the end of 2013 to include all Saudi graduates from both inside and outside the Kingdom.
He said that in its second phase, the platform will comprise free online training courses and a special archive of lectures related to performance development, as well as links to other training courses.
