The duped Indians in the Eastern Province who were recruited to work for a plastic factory but ended up in a manpower supplying company managed by two Bangladeshis in Dammam, were beaten up yesterday.
According to employees, the duo visited their site and assaulted them for complaining to Indian Embassy officials and social workers.
They alleged that “five persons came to our accommodation and beat up all of us. They took with them one Himanshu, a diploma holder who helps aggrieved employees.” They said that “Himanshu and other three employees didn’t return until afternoon that caused us tension.”
Workers also said that the manpower supplier warned that if they didn’t report to work today they will have to face serious consequences.
Workers are living in a state of shock and fear, requesting the Indian Embassy to protect them from further assault.
