Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) continued upgrade of its high-speed 4G network coverage to reinforce its excellence in delivering 4G services. STC recently added 900 locations taking the total number of locations covered with 4G to 70 percent across the Kingdom. This makes STC the biggest operator in terms of location numbers and the 4G network coverage.
The purpose is to provide high-speed wireless Internet with speeds of 100 megabyte/s, which strengthens the efficiency of its network being the overall operator of all telecom services in Saudi Arabia (mobile, landline and data).
STC says it views the current and the next stages as ones for reinforcement of its competitive resources it being the first 4G services operator in the region to keep up with its future expansion aspirations and promote its performance and productivity.
4G LTE technology is a promising 4G network technology for smart devices provided by STC in Saudi Arabia. The company has adopted a strategy that depends on consistent search for effective tools that ensure more flow of call movement in order to closely cope with the increasing demand on its services by its customer base across the Kingdom by harnessing its material and human resources under its continuous drive to connect and link all sectors and facilities.
