Dead cat tops the ten weirdest shipping requests list

LONDON: A dead cat has topped the list of the weirdest shipping requests. DeliveryQuoteCompare.com, a comparison site for delivery services in the UK, has compiled a list of the ten weirdest items that have been requested for shipping. At the top of the list is a dead cat, which was requested by a couple who wanted their recently-deceased pet to be shipped to them while they were on holiday in France. They wanted to make sure that the feline reached them in “acceptable condition” and before decomposition set in. A garden pond features at number six, after a family relocating from Somerset to Essex inquired about having their entire pond shipped — including the water and fish.
Their request was that the company did not disturb the fish too much. A mother from Manchester asked for her teenage daughter to be shipped as she was homesick while on a school trip to Newcastle. The mother wanted to see if they did human transportation as taxis were too expensive. Daniel Parry, spokesperson for the website, said: “We tend to see quite a few weird and wonderful enquiries coming in from customers, but these ten had to be the most unusual from the past 12 months; particularly the sometimes lengthy explanations customers feel they need to give us for these requests, which can be quite amusing!
