AMUOBA-Riyadh elects new team

The Riyadh chapter of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA) has elected new office bearers headed by Mohammad Ahmad Badshah, assistant professor at King Saud University.
Badshah was unanimously elected as president, while Mohammad Nasim Akhtar and Taqiuddin Mir were elected as vice president and general secretary respectively.
Addressing a thanksgiving function of AMUOBA, the members expressed their commitment to the welfare and development of the community, and outlined their plans for the advancement of the university.
“As the AMU alumni here has trusted us, our main focus will be to fulfill our commitment and justify their expectations by serving the community and improving the quality of education with the help of AMU,” Badshah told Arab News.
He said that the team would work hard to achieve the set goals as mentioned in the manifesto and toward the betterment of AMU students.
The new team includes Laeeq Rahman Khan, Mahamid Zaidi, Mohammad Ahad Siddiqui, Mohammad Sabir Khan and Wasee Haider Rizvi as core committee members.
The thanksgiving program was presided by Tarique Masood, an AMU veteran and Riyadh-based businessman. He urged the AMU alumni to work for the welfare of the community.
The function began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and was attended by AMU alumni including Anees Jawed, a senior neurologist at the Riyadh Central Hospital.
