For Lance & 3rdy it looked like the sixth session all over again when it notched up a perfect double at the start of second round eliminations during the 10th week in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
The only to team so far to pull a perfect grand slam with 30 points and the men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week awards when it clinched its first Team of the Week award, Lance & 3rdy almost repeated the feat last Friday.
Lance secured the maximum possible total of 30 points after it blanked Nomac 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,478-2,025 and rank points of 10-3, with team captain Ric Reformado completing the double when he won the men’s Bowler of the Week plum.
League leader Fed X Ally was also a winner by 20-0 shutout over D’ Luf’s Strikers on total pinfalls of 2,894-2,474 rank points of 9-1 and total win points of 29-1, with D’ Mountaineers the third team to win by 20-0 against Pairs and Spares on total pinfalls of 2,607-2,513 rank points of 4-2 and total win points of 24-2.
Elsewhere, Mixed Shots, the previous week honoree, crushed Flexibowl 18-2 (2,790-2,609 8-5 26-7) while Jandel’s Pride was likewise unforgiving in an identical 18-2 triumph over D’ Cyclone on total pinfalls of 2,755 rank points of 7-6 and total win points of 7-6.
Fedelyn Bustinera of Fed X outbowled everyone to shoot the high series of 640 in her division for her third ladies Bowler of the Week accolade.
Reformado, a Class O bowler, shot lines of 211, 265 and 226 to pace Lance who had a pair of 565s from Elo Manalo and Shirley Sagmit, 140-132 from Evelyn Santoc and 145 from Eidris Mangoda.
Ed Cordova rolled 571 to support Fedelyn at Fed X, while Robert de Guzman added 566 to go with the 145-178 from skipper Khalid Bustinera, 133-157 from Ally Bin, and 165-179 from Peps Niera.
Over at Mountaineers, Malou Nidoy posted the team’s top score of 587. Team captain Rudy Jamon and Joel Nidoy contributed 528 and 515, Ric Tibayan tossed in 492 and George Mangaliman had 485.
For Janel’s Pride the leading scorer was Archie Alcantara on 557 followed by Bob Stone 549, Jana Delia Felesmina 535 and Fred Cuenca 528.
Mixed Shots had Vic Gonzales on 635, the second best score of the day, with Carms Lim on 579, Toto Lim 539, skipper Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo 534 and Jojo Esperanzate 533.
