In association with Kolona Montigoun, a project of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) that supports and empower productive families in Saudi Arabia, Dream Whip of Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods) has launched a “Make A Wish Come True” initiative as a step toward giving back to a community where it has enjoyed a presence of over five decades.
As part of the campaign, 11 women from the productive families of Kolona Montigoun project are invited to share their challenging stories of progression along with their baking wishes and their recipes in order to stand a chance to have their wishes come true. Dream Whip will fulfill their wishes in the realm of baking and desserts. The online campaign will run on the Dream Whip facebook page www.facebook.com/DreamWhipArabia through the months of July and August.
Based on the women’s challenging stories and their love for baking, the public will be invited to rate the best five candidates. For each vote on Dream Whip Facebook page, Dream Whip will count SR 1 that will aid the accomplishment of the women’s wishes in addition to a cash prize for the main winner.
The 5 candidates will be invited to an on-ground competition for a final evaluation wherein they will prepare desserts in front of a committee comprising Samar Ayoub and Ohood Sohail, both chefs. The most talented (baking) woman out of the 5 will have her dream fully fulfilled by Dream Whip at a ceremonial event.
Based on the public voting, the 4 shortlisted participants also win a prize money not less than $ 2,500 each.
“This campaign is a platform for the productive families in Saudi Arabia to showcase their baking and desserts making talents to a wider audience. It is also a window for them to share their challenging times and inspire others by the efforts they take, determined to have a better social and economical status,” said Vishal Tikku, area director, Mondelez International.
