HAMBURG: The lowest price offered in a tender from Tunisian state grains agency ONF on Wednesday to purchase around 27,000 metric tons of animal feed corn was believed to be $267.09 per ton, cost and freight (c&f) included, European traders said.
No purchase has yet been reported and offers are still being considered, the traders said. The offer was said to have been submitted by trading house Ameropa, with seven other trading houses also participating in the tender.
Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
The corn is sought in one consignment. Shipment was sought between May 15-30 if sourced from the Mediterranean region, east Europe or the Black Sea region and between May 10-25 if sourced from west Europe.
If sourced from the United States, Brazil or Argentina, shipment is sought between May 5-20.
A previous tender which closed on Friday from Tunisia for 25,000 tons of feed corn also for May shipment ended without a purchase, traders said.
