4.7 million pilgrims complete Umrah

About 4.75 million pilgrims completed Umrah since the start of the season, according to the Ministry of Haj.
There are currently 300,000 pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah. The ministry said there are an estimated 500,000 visitors from abroad in the two holy cities.
Nearly 25,000 Umrah visitors leave the Kingdom every day after staying for 10 to 14 days in the Kingdom, according to the ministry’s spokesman Hatem Al-Qadi.
Expansion work at the Grand Mosque continues, with the traffic administration banning private vehicles carrying pilgrims from entering the central area. The police send out SMS text for people not to cause congestion.
A special raised platform has been built on the mataf (the circumambulating area around the Kaaba) for people with special needs because of the space lost to the current expansion.
