Salman, SRK hug: Did they bury the hatchet?

Indian media went abuzz with the news of the two reigning superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hugging and greeting each other on Sunday at a politician’s Iftar party. ‘Experts’ went on and on about how the hug put an end to one of the most talked about feuds in the film industry. But has the spat really come to an end?
If one looks closely at the pictures, both Salman and Shah Rukh seem to be just obliging their host. The two actors, who have been avoiding each other for five years at every possible event, perhaps had no inkling about each other’s arrival at the Sunday event. Because both landed up at the party around the same time, host Baba Siddiquie suggested that they greet each other. Those present there, state that Salman walked up to where Shah Rukh was seated, shook his hand, wished him and gave him a hug.
The actors, who were once friends, had a very public spat at actress Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash five years ago. The two stars, since then have remained hostile toward each other and have avoided each other at public events.
Whether the hug will revive their old friendship or not isn’t clear yet, it’s a good start.
