Nexen Tire Company has said that its plant located in Shang Yang in South Korea is capable of producing more than 10 million tires per year, compared to last year’s production, which is estimated at 6 million tires with a 40 percent increase in capacity for this phase.
Now the company is in the process of expanding the plant to raise its capacity further for producing more than 21 million tires per annum by 2018.
Nexen Factory, which is considered to be one of the most sophisticated factories in the world, covers an area of more than half a million square meters, equivalent to an area of 46 football courts.
Over the years, Nexen has been recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability as it uses solar energy to achieve efficiency.
