Saudi Cultural Attache Saleh Hamad Al-Suhaibani recently organized an iftar party for Saudi students, teachers and mission officials in collaboration with the Saudi Students Club at the American University of Sharjah under the auspices of Ibrahim bin Saad, the Saudi ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Al-Suhaiban welcomed students and guests, pointing out that it is the duty of mission members to spread the message of peace and brotherhood in their second home, the United Arab Emirates.
He also expressed his appreciation to students and diplomatic officials for their presence at the iftar gathering, as their attendance promoted a sense of patriotism and loyalty toward their nation.
The cultural attache warmly received fellow Arab students and teachers, emphasizing that this iftar gathering, which is held under the guidance of the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education, is an opportunity for Khalid bin Hamad Ankary, the minister of higher education, to reiterate the importance of education in uplifting nations.
Faisal Al-Qahtani, president of the Saudi Students Club in the UAE, thanked the Saudi cultural attaché for his efforts in organizing the iftar, adding that participating in such occasions leaves a deep impact on students and enhances the ties of brotherhood and harmony amongst them. Al-Qahtani said that such occasions during the holy month allow Saudi students the comfort of belonging to a larger family and ease their feelings of loneliness as they spend Ramadan away from their families and friends.
