Muhammad Al-Kuthairy, who has long-standing experience in the industrial sector and international trade relations, has been appointed secretary-general of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
Al-Kuthairy has worked as undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for technical affairs before the department was merged with the agency for international trade. He has also worked for the ministry’s agency for industrial affairs.
The new RCCI secretary-general has worked solving a number of issues related to dumping cases charged against some of the Kingdom’s petrochemical companies.
In a statement on the occasion, Al-Kuthairy said RCCI would work for strengthening Riyadh’s business sector, which accounts for 40 percent of business in the Kingdom.
“We’ll also work for improving business services and serve as a link between government departments and businessmen and businesswomen,” he said.
Al-Kuthairy, who has been a member of Saudi business delegations that visit foreign countries, said the chamber would take care of all businesses especially small and medium enterprises.
