The Al-Musmak Museum attracted a total of 33,732 local and foreign visitors during the Eid holidays, according to Director General Nasir bin Abdul Kareem Al-Eraifi.
Al-Eraifi revealed that 7,219 visitors came to Al-Musmak on the first of day Eid Al-Fitr, while 14,965 and 11,548 people visited the museum on the second and third day of the holiday respectively.
He said the visitors included foreigners of various nationalities and Saudis from across all parts of the Kingdom.
“Aside from the exhibits showcasing the Kingdom’s history, the festive events organized in the neighboring areas contributed to the influx of visitors to the museum,” he explained.
He noted that the visitors expressed “great admiration for the displays and the historical heritage attached to them.”
The museum was opened to the public during the Eid Al-Fitr break under the directives of Prince Sultan bin Salman, president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA).
