The Arabian Pipes Company (APC) has signed a SR43-million contract with the Saudi Arabian Petrofac Company Ltd.
The contract entitles APC to manufacture welded pipes for Petrofac Saudi Arabia at its factory in Jubail Industrial City.
APC is the leading company in Saudi Arabia when it comes to supplying pipes used for oil and gas lines, construction, water irrigation and distribution, transmission of high-pressure fluids, and casing water oil and gas.
The company has 5 facilities — for producing electric resistant welded (ERW) pipes and high frequency welding, external coating of pipes, producing longitudinal submerged arc welding (LSAW) pipes, threading and coupling of pipes and coil slitting.
Petrofac is an international company specialized in providing facilities and services for oil, gas and energy production.
It has several operation facilities around the globe, including Middle East, England, Scotland, India and Malaysia.
It is also one of the partners of Saudi Aramco at its ongoing Jazan refinery and terminal project scheduled to be completed in 2016.
The contract between the APC and Petrofac Saudi Arabia will be effective on the fourth quarter of 2013.
