Just minutes after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah speech was aired declaring support for Egypt against terrorism, many Saudi tweeters and tweeps took to social media website Twitter to express their support for King Abdullah. The Arabic hashtag “King Abdullah’s speech represents me” drastically attracted followers from inside and outside the Kingdom, including many popular and influential Saudi writers who were quick to tweet and retweet the hashtag #King_Abdullah’s_Speech_represents_me.
Egyptian tweeters responded in kind with tweets bearing words of friendship, support and appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the people of Saudi Arabia for their stance with the Egyptian people. Several tweeters from Bahrain, the UAE and Kuwait joined in support by tweeting the hashtag and adding their nationality at the end of the hashtag.
