Tadawul: Al-Jazira Takaful clinches top gainer spot

The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) stepped down to 8,192.39 points yesterday, showing a reduction of 22.46 points or 0.27 percent for the entire session.
While curving in the downward territory throughout the day it dipped to a maximum loss of 31.6 points.
On year-to-date basis, the index showed a collection of 1,391 points or 20.45 percent.
Only Micro cap among the market cap indices managed to gain slightly.
Sectoral performance remained mixed, with six sectors gaining nearly 115 points and nine sectors trimming 484 points collectively.
Media and Publishing sector came out at top and posted 2.3 percent positive change, closing at 2,719.01.
Tihama Advertising & Public Relations Co. was major gainer in this sector, surging 5.96 percent and closing at SR106.75.
On the other hand, Tourism and Agriculture sectors showed the worst performance, declining 1.14 percent and 1.03 percent respectively.
Most of heavyweights finished to the downside, with Etisalat Co. (Mobily) dipping by 0.87 percent and SABB 0.75 percent.
The market breadth with advance-decline ratio of 0.51:1 remained unfavorable.
Share price of Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company rallied to a maximum growth of 10 percent, clinching the spot as top gainer amongst Saudi stocks.
The company with a turnover SR 196 million positioned itself among the most liquid stocks, closing the day at SR66 and ranking second.
Share trading began to taper off, as Tadawul volume set sold around 164 million shares, a decrease of 25.7 percent as compared to previous level.
The volume remained 24 percent below the 50-day average of 215 million shares.
Liquidity also shrank to SR4.7 billion, 16.2 percent lower than previous level.
Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company topped the volume chart, liquidating roughly 10 million shares and capturing six percent of the overall market volume.
