Tough testing: That’s what makes a Toyota

Toyota vehicles are sold in more than 160 counties and regions covering the Middle East and Asia, Africa, the Far East and Australia, Europe, Russia, North America and South America. In fact, you will find Toyota cars just about everywhere in the world, being driven under every type of climate conditions in every type of terrain.
To meet the demands of such a wide range of challenging conditions, Toyota conducts a rigorous program of tests during which each model travels two and a half times around the world (minimum 100,000 km) before it goes into mass production.
Toyota tests cover four basic categories; the rough road test, the heat test, the snow test and safety tests.  
In the rough road test, Toyota has hundreds of thousands of kilometers of road experience on every type of surface - paved and smooth; rough, rutty and pitted; gravel, dirt or sand; even slick surfaces - all recreated on a test course that is designed from research of roads throughout the world.
Here, highly qualified engineers meticulously test Toyota vehicles for safety and durability, evaluating among other things, acceleration, deceleration, and cornering to be sure they clear Toyota’s rigorous standards. To complete the testing, Toyota’s experienced test drivers examine each car to the tiniest detail, going beyond the point of more than anything you might ever need. Any minor irregularities are corrected and tested again and again in the search of impeccable quality — one of many reasons for the legendary reliability of Toyota cars.
In the heat test, Toyota recreates temperature conditions that can be found in Saudi Arabia to ensure that your Toyota performs at its best under the intense heat of searing sun, from the way it turns to the way it stops. Toyota builds its cars with a high heat tolerance and tests them under external temperatures of 50 degrees centigrade, road surface temperatures of 75 degrees centigrade, and internal temperatures of 80 degrees centigrade to confirm the effects on the vehicle.
