Hindu hard-liners on the loose

As the elections in India are fast approaching, Hindu extremist organizations have increased their activities to exploit religious sentiments for their own diabolical designs. Among those activities is the march of Hindu extremists to the disputed site of the Babri Mosque in Ayodhya.
The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has already arrested hundreds of activists belonging to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in a bid to stop them from stoking communal unrest. This is very obvious that such marches have no religious significance.
It is all about politics in the garb of religion. VHP and other Hindu extremist outfits will try their best to drag Muslims in the conflict. Muslims must practice restraint as the case of the disputed site is already in court. — Masood Khan, Jubail
