RIYADH: Saudi actor Fayez Al-Maliki gave away a Bentley car to a boy who lost his parents and two sisters in a horrific car crash.
Earlier, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal had gifted Al-Maliki an apartment and two luxury cars, one of them a Bentley, after Al-Maliki indulged the prince in a friendly banter on Twitter.
Al-Maliki had tweeted the prince after the success of one of his works of art, saying that a good apartment in the new Tower and a Bentley would be welcome. Minutes later, Maliki tweeted again, this time thanking the prince. What started as a joke for Al-Maliki became true when Prince Alwaleed decided to grant the artist’s wishes.
Al-Maliki was at a hospital and decided to visit Yousuf Al-Ansari after he heard the 15-year-old boy was the sole survivor of the crash in which his family was killed. The family was heading toward Riyadh when the tragedy happened.
During the conversation, Al-Maliki, seeking to ease Yousuf’s pain, asked him if he needed anything.
The teenager said that he wanted the Bentley car that the actor had received as a gift from Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, local news site Sabq reported on Monday.
