ACEC smothers Flour Arabia in FABA event

ACEC five clobbered Flour Arabia, 94-82, in their first encounter in the elimination round of the Kingdom Dream Games Part 2 at the Al Nahda Sports Club last Friday.

The 5-foot-8 guard, Angelo Baltazar, wearing his lucky No. 13 jersey, pumped in 30 big points for ACEC and earned the best player of the game award from the Filipino Arabian Basketball Association (FABA).

Assisting to the feat of ACEC in the Intercompany League A were Dennis Bonilla and Eldrin Simpas who contributed 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Rolof Liangco converted 13 of his 28 points from the free-throw line to lead the Isam Kabbani camp to a 74-71 victory over the stronger KFMMC squad also in the Inter-Company League A.

In the non-rated division, Khobar Warriors proved too much for Manifa team as the former crushed the latter, 83-66.

Friday, Papparoti Riyadh topbills the exciting matches when it takes on equally strong NPC Pipers in the Premier League. In the Intercompany A League, Saudi Ready Mix squares off with Saipem five.

Equally thrilling matches in the non-rated division Friday feature the Dammam Warriors vs. Mustang, Daggers vs. Chance, Bangus vs. Surigao Mountain View, Bisdak vs. Nesma, and Pipstreet vs. United Bicolanos.

FABA is headed by its chairman Abdulazziz “Jawo” Dizon and Commissioner Ely Panahon. Also in the technical team are Mark Dizon, Caloy Mereria, Jojo Dale Carlos Dizon, Robert Bantilan, Gil Colegado, Ozzy de la Cruz, Toto Iremedio, and Victor de los Santos.
