Red Dragons dazzle to hit perfect double at OFBC Friday Afternoon League

Red Dragons delivered a perfect double while notching their fourth Team of the Week award, the most of any team, during the ninth session in the OFBC 3 + 1 Friday Afternoon League 2nd Season at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.
The Red Dragons had the highest total pinfalls of the three teams that shut out their opponents to set up the maximum possible total win points of 28 and Arman Gamboa made it a perfect double by winning the men’s Bowler of the Week accolade after shooting the high series of 637 on scratch games of 192, 191 and 158.
The league leading Red Dragons blanked Versatile Guys 20-0 on total pinfalls of 1,833 and 1,579 and rank points of 8 and 3.
RJ Transient Houses and Pairs and Spares likewise swept the match points on offer against The Youngsters Revival and the bye team, while previous week honoree The Replacement defeated Makatifoods 14-6 on total pinfalls of 1,782-1,633, rank points of 7-4 and total win points of 21-10.
Gamboa was the only player to go full games at Red Dragons captained by Manny Tibay and the rest contributed two each. Bash Langa tossed in 170-178, Tom Langa had 177-182 and Thong Muheeb Langa added 140-165.
Malou Nidoy was at the vanguard of RJ Transient as the ladies Bowler of the Week, shooting 564. Team captain Rudy Jamon carded 548 that went with the 183-205 by Joel Nidoy and 167-181 by Jack Jarin.
Akang Victorino was the top scorer at Pairs with 511 while Mia Cedotes was on 496 as the only other bowler to play all three games. Skipper Joey Calapatia tallied 136-183.
Over at Replacement the duo of Alex Torres and Allan Salamanes bowled solid with 566 and 544. Team captain Khalid Bustinera came through with 208-198 and his wife Fedelyn had a valuable 187.
Among the notable scorers on the day were Youngsters’ Vic Gonzales 569 and Vangie Lim 530 and Versatile Guys’ Tirso Bambalan 543.
