Banque Saudi Fransi-CBG strikes with a double in InterBank Bowling League

Banque Saudi Fransi-CBG team mentored by Ken Hechanova ended its chase for honors by clinching a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double during the 7th session of the InterBank Tenpin Bowling League 2013 Conference at the InterContinental Hotel Bowling Center here.
For two consecutive weeks, BSF-CBG toppled league heavyweights capping its brilliant performance with a new team league record in the straight four-game win over SAIB 475-30.
Straight bowler Alfred Estrada completed a BSF-CBG double when he captured the Bowler of the Week plum after shooting the high series of 862 (264, 158, 210 and 230). He was supported by the trio of Guilber Masias, Abet Minosa and Art Bumatay with rounds of 798, 766 and 739 respectively while team captain Hechanova rolled 475 in three games and Dennis Buot had 217.
SAIB team captain Dong Calub failed to find the perfect combination as he struggled to maneuver his five-man team in every game. Mike Benito led his team with a four-game series of 715 followed by Julius Queypo (692), Ed Robilos (672), Edwin Fontiveros (651) and Calub (649).
Another best team performance for two weeks in a row was SAMA-Abana Unified which surprisingly blanked defending champion Shabab SABB 370-0 and leapfrogged to No. 1 from from third place in the team standings . The five-man team of captain Teody Zulaybar never gave their opponents a chance to grab any single game. The top scorer was Jun Bolocboloc on 800 followed by Zulaybar (750), Bernie Torres (728), Clem Guelas (718) and Jun Macarandan (714).
The trio of Jaffer Al Kathiri, Fahad Al Heza and Sam Alinsod did not get enough support from other team members as they struggled to match the scores of their opponents. Al Heza became the second member of Elite Club when he tallied 255 scratch score during the second game.
PNB Unified scored high this week in the win over BSF 370-130. Top performer was James Frizzle with 786 four-game series. He was supported by Freddie Solomon (595), Ronald Cruz (574), Rey Bautista (565) and Sonny Alviso (554) while Mixi Lechuga and Patrick Alviso rolled 345 and 340.
Edwin Timango was at his best in BSF as he tallied a four-game series of 753 together with captain Jun Bantug (745), Dawood Sereno (717), Joseph Adao (663) and Ric Camara (617).
It was a disappointing week for Alinma Bank as it dropped from first to third spot following a 3-1 defeat by SHB 260-50 points. The duo of Arnel Bernabe and Clem Salazar led SHB with 766 And 759 respectively while Gerry Ayonon, Jil Hembra, Cholo Nieto and Val Baraquio tallied 548, 525, 511 and 483.
Jerry Barce, Jojo de Silva and Angelo Train were the highest scorers in Alinma on 758, 696 and 667 respectively while Lito Tolentino and Willie Bondoc rolled 497 and 762. Abdulrahman Ahmed and Obet Mata had 158 and 147.
