Kingdom plans to sign bilateral agreements with Kyrgyzstan

Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan intend to sign bilateral agreements by the end of the year end covering various areas, including economic, investment and cultural cooperation, to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Kingdom has been considering a proposal to import meat from Kyrgyzstan and set up business clubs in the two countries. Both sides aim to build bilateral cooperation and exchange views on various issues.
“These agreements are being worked out with the Kyrgyz government. We believe that bilateral agreements will be signed by the end of the year,” Abduurrahman bin Saeed Al-Juma, ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan, said at a press conference in the country’s capital, Bishkek, yesterday.
“We hope that Kyrgyzstan meat will be available in the markets of the Kingdom in 2014. Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia are moving in the right direction and are being strengthened day by day. The signing of bilateral agreements will give a new impetus to our cooperation,” Al-Juma said.
He said: “We plan to establish business clubs and have prepared a draft memorandum.”
Kyrgyz Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Jusupbek Sharipov, and Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Huzeima, earlier discussed strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
Kyrgyzstan’s Chief Veterinary Inspector, Janybek Sultanov, said that Qatar and Saudi Arabia were interested in importing meat and meat products from Kyrgyzstan. “Meat products in Kyrgyzstan are said to be safe,” Sultanov added. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, a speaker at the Consultative Council of Saudi Arabia, will visit Kyrgyzstan to discuss ways to further expand bilateral relations.
The two countries will also discuss issues pertaining to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and expanding the legal framework.
