Patna blasts

The views expressed by Anees Lokhande in his letter “Something fishy about Patna blasts” (Oct. 30) has surprised me. He has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the blasts without any concrete evidence. I fail to understand his logic. The incident was captured on the television, the alleged perpetrators have been caught and few of them on are on the run. What else do people like Lokhande want?
Bihar Chief Minister Nitesh Kumar is just trying to appease Muslims in his state for obvious reasons. He has reportedly ordered the law-enforcement agencies to turn a blind eye to the anti-state elements in his state.
Lokhande seems to be in a state of delusion when he urges Muslims to vote for “secular” forces in India. He does not appear to be well versed with the history of these secular parties. These very secular elements have always ensured that Muslims in India remain oppressed and backward.
Muslims in Bihar are the poorest and least educated people in India. It’s time Indians vote for progress. — Bhaskara Sujeet Kumar, Riyadh
