The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded a contract to Sawary Energy to supply specialized manpower to operate all power plants in the Western Region, according to Sami Akeel, Sawary Energy vice president.
“Signing of this contract with the SEC aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the electric grid in the Western Region by increasing credibility and the level of electrical services to provide uninterrupted power for new facilities,” Akeel said in a statement.
Akeel expressed happiness over the signing of the contract for the project with SEC, which is keen to meet the increasing demand for electrical power in the Eastern Region and committed to providing high quality services.
He said the project will be executed in collaboration with “our partner REMACO in Malaysia. REMACO is100-percent owned by Tenaga Nasuional Berhad (TNB), which is the local utility of Malaysia.
Sawary Energy will be responsible for providing services for SEC to operate gas turbines, steam turbines and combined cycle turbines.
He said Sawary Energy is one of the leading companies in the power industry in Saudi Arabia for the last 40 years and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It has also been characterized as a single platform for all power solutions, which include supplying and installing electric diesel generators, automatic and annual transfer switches, electrical distribution panels and automatic and manual parallel systems.
