Recent statistics show that citizens from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) rank third in the list of GCC nationals seeking employment in the Kingdom.
Bahrainis account for 70 percent of Gulf applicants, while UAE citizens ranked third after Omanis, accounting for 15 percent of applicants, followed by Kuwaitis.
By contrast, there was not a single Qatari application for work in the Kingdom.
“These figures underscore the robustness and strength of the Saudi job market,” said Tareq Al-Kahili, a placement expert. “They also point to the presence of employment opportunities in the most promising employment market in the Gulf.”
Al-Kahili said that Saudis wishing to work in the Gulf aim to get international experience, while facts and figures prove that the Saudi market remains the most powerful, offering the highest salaries. The Eastern Province received the highest number of applications for jobs from Gulf citizens wishing to work in the Kingdom, followed by Riyadh.
The Nitaqat nationalization system does not categorize Gulf workers as foreigners or Saudis.
