Lebanon Week in Jeddah to affirm strong Saudi ties

The Lebanese Consulate General in Jeddah is planning to organize “Lebanese Week,” a week-long celebrations with different activities starting with an exhibition “Made in Lebanon” in the first week of April.
Lebanese Consul General Ziad Atallah told Arab News that the relationship between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia is very deep, strong and enduring. The Saudi leadership and people have never stopped supporting Lebanon, even during the most turbulent times.
The Lebanese community is enjoying their stay in the Kingdom and most of them can be found occupying excellent positions.
The Lebanese community considers the Kingdom to be a strong supporter of stability, sovereignty, and the well being of their country, and the Lebanese community in Jeddah would like to express its gratitude to the Saudi leadership, he said, adding that the investment and trade levels between the two countries indicates the strong bilateral relations.
This special relationship will be strengthened with the exhibition “Made in Lebanon” that will be held at the Jeddah event and exhibition center with the cooperation of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
The coordination and cooperation between the two chambers of Jeddah and Beirut will open the horizons for Lebanese exporters and their products into the Saudi market. It will give them the opportunity to access Saudi consumers, business and industries.
“The trying circumstances our region is passing through should act as an incentive rather than a barrier to the success of this exhibition. The success will benefit both the Lebanese exhibitors and Saudi visitors,” Attalah said, adding that the Lebanese consulate will also hold other cultural programs.
“There will be academic, athletic, traditional and cultural activities throughout the week. A special exhibition will also be organized under the theme “Lebanese hands in Jeddah” where Lebanese handicraft made by Lebanese living in Jeddah will be on display,” he said.
A basketball match will be held between a Lebanese community team and a team from Jeddah with other cultural activities.
