India’s new PM should do

Beat corruption: Can Narendra Modi take up the issue as a mission? Populist idea but the nation needs to rein it on the first priority basis.
Human resources: The new govt. needs to take an inclusive approach and take along every section, particularly those neglected like minorities while charting a path of progress. They will strengthen your hands not weaken them.
Social sector: Particularly health and education form any nation’s barometer of social status. India conspicuously lags in these sectors.
Build scientific temper: India needs to be spurred to go hung ho on IT sector and R&D. More so, because Indians are considered the trusted assets in any major scientific department abroad particularly in US.
Empower youth: Indian youth has huge potential and they have high ambitions too. Draw on their capabilities.
Rein in erring officials, ministers: And you become the hero. Public is tired of their misuse of power and their exploitation of the common man.
The minority policy: If 300 million people remain panicky it is for the govt to think of a policy to win their confidence. They too want peace, progress and a dignified life.
Infrastructure push: Growth in telecom, roads fine, but what about electricity. In 2012, India was dubbed as the largest power outage in world’s history that affected 620 million people.
Crony capitalism: ‘PM’ Modi needs to overhaul govt’s powerful departments/committees where industrialists, individuals have control and at times force govts to take decisions even at the cost of national interest.
Coexistence: India has a composite culture, and hence needs communal harmony for progress. Ensure justice to every neglected section.
