Reading reports coming out of Sudan and South Sudan sadden me a lot. Sudanese on both sides of the borders should not have split. They should have ironed out their differences. What have they achieved from this division? Nothing, but more poverty, increased corruption and unrest.
I blame leaders for such a situation. The politicians always have their personal interests at heart and they portray their opponents as demons. Unfortunately, people usually fall for it. Is it because of a lack of education or political awareness? I think not. People also, at times, think selfishly and they miss the big picture and suffer from what I call political myopia.
